Today you travel on the morning ferry from Oban over to the Isle of Mull. Landing at Craignure, the coach will travel to Fionnphort, the most westerly point of the island, where you take the short ferry crossing on foot to the small and magical Island of Iona. Explore the island’s most valued treasures including the Abbey founded by St Columba in 563, the Augustine nunnery and Rèilig Odhrain; burial ground of many early Scottish Kings. The coach will take you back across Mull for the ferry crossing to the mainland late afternoon. (Ferry crossings subject to weather)

Enjoy a morning at your leisure in the Coastal town of Oban where you can wander the many shops before the coach takes you the 12 mile journey south over the Clachan Bridge to Seil Island, one of the Slate Islands where we visit Ellenabeich - a small village full of white-washed cottages which was featured on Para Handy and Ring of Bright Water. The Slate Islands were the centre of the Scottish Slate Industry during the 18th & 19th Centuries and you will have time to visit the Heritage Centre on Seil, or take the 5 minute ferry crossing to Easedale (not included) where you can explore the small island by foot yourself. The coach will take you back to Oban late afternoon in time for your dinner in the hotel restaurant.

A scenic journey north today, along the beautiful banks of Loch Linnhe, to visit Glenfinnan. You can spend some time admiring the beautiful glen, its famous monument built in 1815 and visitor centre, before you travel back towards Fort William where have time to visit the shops and enjoy Afternoon Tea in the Alexandra Hotel before we return to Oban through the magnificent Glencoe, whose scenery never fails to amaze.

Sitting in the heart of Oban the beautiful Royal Hotel is a short walk from the harbour and local attractions. Original Victorian features are complimented by a fresh new bar area and lounge, and with a roaring open fire makes the hotel cosy and inviting, Steven Reffin and his staff look forward to welcoming you.
