Herriot Country

Enjoy a full day scenic excursion through Herriot Country including visits to the market towns and villages of Northallerton, Bedale and Thirsk - home town of the famous author and vet James Herriot who penned ‘All Creatures Great and Small’.  Here you could visit his house and surgery, see the car he drove and try your hand at being a vet. Bedale is a lovely Georgian market town which dates back to the Doomsday Book and has a cobbled square, plenty of shops and amenities at hand and you will have time to wander the market before returning to the hotel in Harrogate.


Harrogate & Knaresborough (5 Day Tour Only)

Enjoy a free morning in Harrogate where you can explore this wonderful spa town and its delights including beautiful gardens, Betty’s Tearoom and many antique & gift shops. In the afternoon the coach will take you to nearby Knaresborough where you can explore its charms. Walk the cobbled paths to the riverside and enjoy the water views of this broad section of the River Nidd, or visit Mother Shiptons Cave and its Petrifying Well where everything is turned to stone.
