Keighley & Worth Valley Railway & Saltaire Mills

Enjoy a lovely day out today visiting some of Yorkshire's filming locations for the popular TV programme - BBC's Peaky Blinders. Firstly we take you to Keighley & Worth Valley Railway where you can enjoy a steam train journey along the heritage line, and this railway station has been used in a number of TV & Films including The Railway Children, Brideshead Revisited, Peaky Blinders & The Great Train Robbery. After the journey there is time in Haworth before travelling the short journey to Saltaire Salt Mills. This large converted mill built in 1853 by Sir Titus Salt now houses a wonderful collection of shops, restaurants & galleries and you will have lots of time to explore this beautiful building and the surrounding purpose built workers village which has also been used for filming Peak Blinders. On the route back to Harrogate we swing by the village of Esholt and see the Woolpack pub which was used for filming Emmerdale.

Spend your time in Harrogate and enjoy the shops, gardens and attractions including Betty’s Tearoom. Don't forget your soup & sandwiches will be served back in the hotel today.

Tour the splendid house & gardens then enjoy tea & cakes before an afternoon touring through the stunning Yorkshire Dales visiting Thirsk, well known for James Herriot’s novels ‘All Creatures Great & Small’. Here you have time to explore the village with its quaint shops and cafes or The World of James Herriot - the former writers home.
