DORNOCH & STRATHPEFFER
Enjoy a coach trip this morning to explore Dornoch. There’s a lot to see including the beautiful beach a short walk from the hotel, the Cathedral, shops and unknown to many - the Witchstone. The coach will then return to Strathpeffer this afternoon explore the Highland spa village at your leisure.
ULLAPOOL & GAIRLOCH
After a hearty Scottish breakfast in the Ben Wyvis Hotel, we depart Strathpeffer this morning for our scenic excursion through Wester Ross visiting some of the most popular points on the North Coast 500 Route - Ullapool & Gairloch. Travel through the stunning Highland glens, before being graced with the beautiful sight of Loch Broom and Ullapool. You will have time to explore this picturesque Highland town, enjoy the shops, cafes and restaurants before we travel south along the banks of Loch Ewe to Gairloch. Set on the shores of a sea loch, the village offers wonderful views to the Isle of Skye, amazing walks along the golden sandy beach and Gairloch Museum, set in a repurposed nuclear bunker. We travel back to the hotel along the banks of beautiful Loch Maree - a most stunning journey through our native and unspoilt Scottish Highlands.
ISLE OF SKYE & PORTREE
The coach will today travel through the unspoilt West Highland landscapes of Strath Bran and Glen Carron before we cross ‘over the sea to the Isle of Skye’. Soak up the views of the Inner Sound, Scalpay & Raasay before arriving in the harbour town of Portree. Overlooking Loch Portree you will have plenty of time to explore the islands largest town, find out more about Highland life in the Skye & Lochalsh Archive Centre, discover the tasty treats in the local cafes and shop for gifts and local crafts in the town centre. Enjoy the journey back to the hotel after your visit to the wonderful scenery of Skye.
