Three very exciting rail journeys await you this week on our holiday based in the Scottish Highlands. Take a trip on the Strathspey Steam Train in the heart of the Cairngorms, be amazed on the Kyle Line from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh and enjoy the breathtaking scenery on the World Famous West Highland Line. The Nethybridge Hotel will be your welcoming base for this tour and here you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Cairngorms as a breathtaking backdrop.

KYLE LINE & KYLE OF LOCHALSH
After breakfast we travel north to catch the train for a scenic journey you will never forget. Travel by rail on the Kyle Line and marvel at the stunning views as the train takes you through the most impressive and remote scenery in the Scottish Highlands. Arriving at Kyle of Lochalsh to spend time to enjoy the views before returning to Nethy Bridge by majestic lochs and through spectacular glens in time for your delicious evening meal.
STRATHSPEY STEAM RAILWAY
You will get a morning trip on the Strathspey Steam Railway which runs on a heritage line between Broomhill and Aviemore, enjoying the amazing woodland forests and mountains in the surrounding area. Enjoy the journey on the restored Victorian carraiges, and then disembark at Aviemore where you will have some time to explore the popular Highland resort. In the afternoon we travel through the Speyside scenery to the larger town of Grantown on Spey were you can explore at leisure before returning to Nethy Bridge later in the day.
WEST HIGHLAND LINE
Today we travel to visit the mighty Glenfinnan Monument and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lochaber to the fishing port of Mallaig. Here you can enjoy some time for lunch and exploring the fishing village before boarding the diesel train for return journey to Fort William on the West Highland Line. This journey is described as one of the world’s most scenic railway journeys and you will get to experience this magical voyage by glens and silver sand beaches.

NETHYBRIDGE HOTEL - SPEYSIDE
