Lake Windermere Cruise, Bowness & Cartmel
After breakfast travel to nearby Lakeside Pier on the southern end of Lake Windermere where you board a steam cruiser to enjoy a lovely 1 hour cruise to Bowness-On-Windermere on the other side of the lake. You will have time for lunch in one of the many cafes or restaurants with time to relax and enjoy the views and visit the many shops and Beatrix Potter attraction. In the afternoon we travel back to the hotel with a stop in the ancient village of Cartmel, famous for it’s 12th century priory, racecourse and also the home of sticky toffee pudding. Return to Grange late afternoon in plenty of time for your delicious evening meal.
Lakes Tour
A day full of breathtaking scenery as you tour through the stunning Lake District and enjoy visits to some of the most popular towns in the area. Travel past Lake Windermere towards Ambleside where can stop and soak up the wonderful views before travelling to Kendal. Here you can visit one of the towns interesting museums or local galleries, or just relax and have some lunch in one of the many restaurants and cafes.
On our road back to the hotel enjoy a stop in the pretty Edwardian town of Grange-Over-Sands which has some of the finest parks and gardens on the coast.
