Here you can see what life was like for the famous poet and his family in their farmhouse that he built for his love, Jean Armour. Sit in the room where he wrote 'Auld Lang Syne', and walk along the same paths he did as he wrote 'Tam O'Shanter'. Insipred by the surroundings and setting on the River Nith, you have lots to see here before we travel onto Dumfries, and have some free time to explore his favourite haunts such as The Globe pub, where his chair still sits, or the Robert Burns Centre. Situated in the town’s eighteenth century watermill, the Robert Burns Centre tells the story of the bards' last years spent in the bustling streets and lively atmosphere of Dumfries. Enjoy free time in the town, and then a high tea before we return back home.
