St Ives & Isles of Scilly

Day 1:  Today you join the coach for the first day of this lovely holiday to Cornwall, travelling to our 1st overnight stop in the Coventry area. Dinner will be served this evening in the hotel restaurant.

Day 2:  After breakfast we travel through the morning and enjoy a stop in the City of Bath. Explore this beautiful city at leisure and then we continue our journey to Newquay arriving later afternoon. We check into the lovely Barrowfield Hotel, which is a short walk from the shops and 200 yards from the beach. Dinner this evening and some entertainment.


Day 3:  After breakfast you have a whole day to yourself to explore the lovely town of Newquay. With so many beaches, shops and amusements to see you will need the whole day to see all that Newquay has to offer.


Day 4:  This morning join the coach for a journey to the wonderful Isles of Scilly *. Departing from Penzance, and landing at pretty St Mary you'll be welcomed by a tropical paradise of white sandy beaches, stunningly clear waters and fantastic shops, cosy pubs and delightful cafés in the main town of Hugh Town. We return to the mainland later in the afternoon, and a late dinner on return to Newquay. 

Day 5:  

After breakfast, join the coach for a day excursion to the lovely village of St Ives. Home to the famed Tate Gallery, be sure to discover the town’s rich artistic heritage when you visit and keep a lookout for seals and wildlife along the shore. Whether you’re looking to browse lovely boutiques, relax on the beach or sample delicious local seafood, you’re sure to enjoy a fantastic day here.

Day 6:  Depart Newquay early this morning as we travel towards home and have an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel in the Coventry area, with a journey through the Cotswolds on the way to the hotel.

Day 7:  After breakfast, depart the hotel and enjoy the journey back home.

* Isle of Scilly excursion:  We recommend you take suitable footwear as the weather is changeable. The exact duration of your journey will depend on the tides and weather, but it usually takes between 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours. The excursion to the Isles of Scilly and time spent on the island is subject to operational and weather conditions and an alternative excursion may be offered. This tour may not be suitable for passengers with mobility issues.

THE BARROWFIELD HOTEL - NEWQUAY

The hotel is ideally located, just 200 yards from Tolcarne beach, considered one of the best in the area and only a short 10 minute stroll from Newquay town centre. The hotel has its own heated indoor swimming pool with hot tub and sauna as well as a snooker and childrens games room. The entertainment room features live entertainment every night and the spacious lounges offer plenty of space to relax in. A new bar, coffee shop and reception were constructed in 2016 helping to keep the hotel up to date.
