Today we take the scenic coastal journey to Kennacraig where you will take the morning ferry crossing to the ‘Queen of the Hebrides’ - Islay. Enjoy the stunning views of Jura and Gigha as you make your way over the water landing at Port Ellon around lunchtime. We will travel to Bowmore where you will have some time to explore. Enjoy a tour of the beautiful island before returning to the mainland from Port Askaig late afternoon. Have a relaxing cruise back to the mainland onboard Calmac ferry before arriving back to the hotel in Oban in the evening, where you will be welcomed back and served a delicious dinner. (Approx return time to the hotel after 7pm, ferry crossings subject to change)
OBAN & CRUACHAN HOLLOW MOUNTAIN
Enjoy a morning at your leisure in Oban before we take a journey to the Cruachan Hollow Mountain. Deep within Ben Cruachan mountain on the shores of Loch Awe is one of the country's most amazing engineering achievements. You will have a guided tour inside the power station buried one kilometre below the surface. There is also a Visitor Centre, cafe and amazing views over the loch to enjoy.
FORT WILLIAM, GLENCOE & GLENFINNAN
Enjoy a lovely scenic drive through the mighty Glencoe scenery today as you journey north to Fort William. Lochaber has some of the most breathtaking scenery in Scotland and here will have time to explore the shops before the coach takes you along the banks of Loch Shiel to visit the famous Glenfinnan Monument. Return to the hotel along the banks of Loch Linnhe and enjoy the coastal views before returning back to Oban in time for your evening meal in the restaurant.
