We have packed in lots of exciting excursions for you this year, including a full day visit to the Queen’s Royal retreat at Sandringham Estate, a nostalgic steam train journey along the coastline and some time to relax and enjoy the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth. Day 1
After boarding the coach we travel to the North of England for our overnight stay in the Cairn Hotel, Harrogate. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the centre of town, and features comfortable rooms and a bar/lounge to enjoy after your evening meal.
Day 2
After a hearty English breakfast, the coach will continue the journey south where you will enjoy a visit to the Queens retreat in Norfolk; Sandringham Estate. Explore the Edwardian house, the 60 acre gardens and museum which houses a number of royal vehicles. We journey onto arrive at the Sprowston Manor Hotel late afternoon for the first of your 4 nights in the lovely area near Norwich. The hotel offers leisure facilities, golfing and wonderful walks in the immediate area.
Day 3
Enjoy a day at your leisure in the hotel or why not journey out to visit the sights of Norwich today.
Day 4
A lovely day excursion to Great Yarmouth and the coast today. Enjoy exploring the town at your leisure, grab some fish & chips and wander the promenade, explore the shops and amusements, Merrivale model village, or more historical sites such as Elizabethan House Museum and Tolhouse Museums. So much to see here you will need comfy shoes on today! On the return journey to the hotel, we meander through the Norfolk Broads picturesque towns & villages with stops in Coltishall & Wroxham.
Day 5
A delightful day out today as we enjoy a visit to the seaside favourite of Cromer. Enjoy the Traditional pier, explore the shops and enjoy an ice cream before travelling onto Sheringham with its award winning beach. Enjoy time at leisure and have some lunch in one of the many restaurants before we board the steam train and enjoy a journey along the Heritage North Norfolk Railway Line. We alight the train at Holt - a charming Georgian town in North Norfolk full of of antique and book shops, places to eat and enjoy a coffee.
Day 6
We begin our return journey back to Scotland today after breakfast, leaving sunny Great Yarmouth in the morning with a stop in Lincoln where you have time to grab some lunch and explore the stunning Cathedral city. Time for lunch and a few hours to explore before our arrival at the Cairn Hotel in Harrogate late afternoon for the last night of your holiday. Relax and enjoy your evening meal in the hotel.
Day 7
Enjoy a lovely English breakfast before we return on the coach for the homeward journey.
