ISLE OF SKYE
Today you enjoy a scenic journey north to visit the Isle of Skye. Travelling from Fort William along the banks of Loch Lochy, Loch Duich & Loch Long where you will stop for a short time to enjoy the magnificent views at Eilean Donan Castle, before passing by Kyle of Lochalsh and crossing the bridge to Skye.
WEST HIGHLAND LINE RAILWAY
After a hearty breakfast this morning in the hotel, we enjoy a journey on the iconic railway used in Harry Potter movies and board the diesel train from Fort William Station to the fishing port of Mallaig. Enjoy the beautiful scenery as you travel along the tracks over the Glenfinnan Viaduct and through stunning mountains and seascapes before arriving in Mallaig. (train times may change due to operational reasons)
WESTERN ISLES CRUISE & MALLAIG (packed lunch)
The highlight of this holiday, a fantastic day cruising around the Southern tip of Skye & The Small Isles. The Small Isles archipelago are home to puffin colonies and its surrounding waters are inhabited by dolphins, whales & porpoises for most of the year. Enjoy your day sailing by the Isles of Rum & Eigg and the Southern edge of Skye before cruising through Loch Nevis and stopping in Knoydart (weather permitting) where you can enjoy the beautiful views overlooking the Loch.
