CULZEAN CASTLE
Our excursion today will take you along the Ayrshire Coastal Route to visit Culzean Castle. Perched on the clifftops overlooking the sea, Robert Adam’s opulent masterpiece a treasure trove of delights to explore, including the magnificent castle itself, its beautifully flamboyant walled gardens and grounds, deer park, beaches, Swan Pond and Farm Shop. We travel back to the hotel late afternoon.
DUMFRIES HOUSE
Today we enjoy a lovely journey up the coast to visit Dumfries House. The beautiful home of 5th Earl of Dumfries, and now better known for King Charles III’s restoration works, the house sits in a 2000 acre estate. Enjoy a guided tour and time to explore the extensive gardens and shops at your leisure. We return to the hotel in Portpatrick late afternoon.
PORTPATRICK & LOGAN BOTANIC GARDENS
Enjoy a morning of leisure in the popular seaside village of Portpatrick. In the afternoon we join the coach and take a journey to the beautiful Logan Botanic Gardens. The gardens avenues and borders feature a spectacular and colourful array of half-hardy perennials and is warmed by the Gulf Stream which enables plants from New Zealand and Southern Africa to thrive here.
