EILEAN DONAN CASTLE & PLOCKTON
After a hearty Scottish breakfast in the Ben Wyvis Hotel, depart Strathpeffer with the coach this morning for a breathtaking scenic journey through the unspoilt West Highland landscapes of Strath Bran and Glen Carron before we arrive in Dornie and visit the most photographed castle in Scotland - Eilean Donan. Explore the castle and soak up the scenery before we then travel to the nearby lochside village of Plockton where you can explore this picturesque location at your leisure. This beautiful setting on the shores of Loch Carron offers stunning scenery, quaint shops and art gallery with regular exhibitions. We return to Strathpeffer in the evening and enjoy a delicious dinner in the restaurant.
STRATHPEFFER & INVERNESS
After breakfast in the hotel this morning is yours to relax at your leisure and explore the lovely Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer. Explore the pretty Highland village and its beautiful architecture, maybe visit the pictish Eagle Stone or the Childhood Museum before the coach takes you to the nearby Highland Capital of Inverness where you can explore the city and all of its shops and attractions. Botanic Gardens, Victorian Market, Abertarff House and Ness Walk are just a few of the attractions here to be enjoyed during your visit.
ULLAPOOL & GAIRLOCH
After a hearty Scottish breakfast in the Ben Wyvis Hotel, we depart Strathpeffer this morning for our scenic excursion through Wester Ross visiting some of the most popular and picturesque points on the North Coast 500 Route - Ullapool & Gairloch. Travel through the stunning Highland glens, before being graced with the beautiful sight of Loch Broom and Ullapool. You will have time to explore this picturesque Highland town, enjoy the shops, cafes and restaurants before we travel south along the banks of Loch Ewe to Gairloch. Set on the shores of a sea loch, the village offers wonderful views to the Isle of Skye, amazing walks along the golden sandy beach and Gairloch Museum, set in a repurposed nuclear bunker. We travel back to the hotel along the banks of beautiful Loch Maree - a most stunning journey through our native and unspoilt Scottish Highlands.
