With time to visit many attractions such as the gothic York Minster and Merchants Hall, sip a drink by The River Ouse and watch the world go by or simply stroll along the cobbled streets and enjoy the city’s diverse café culture and street entertainers. On the return journey to Harrogate, we stop in the picture perfect market town of Knaresborough where you will have time to explore the sights including Mother Shipton's Cave and Knaresborough Castle.
HARROGATE & RIPON
Enjoy a day at your leisure in the vibrant town of Harrogate full of things to see and do at every turn. Browse the antiques in Montpellier Quarter, have some tea and cakes in the famous Betty’s Tearooms or wander around the beautiful 17 acre Valley Gardens a short walk from the hotel.
Enjoy a visit to the city of Ripon. This historic market city has much to offer its visitors including eclectic shops, gothic Cathedral and market square.
EDEN CAMP & MALTON
This morning we visit the pretty market town of Malton in Yorkshire. Known as the food capital, you have lots of time to explore the artisan shops and multiple tearooms here all set around the local market square. This afternoon we visit Eden Camp, an entertaining museum based in the grounds of an original WWII POW camp which lets you experience the sights, sounds and even smells of wartime life. There is much to see in the immersive museum, with a little cafe onsite for refreshments too.
